Spinnerbait Bassing

With a moderate South Easterly late yesterday afternoon and clear sunny skies my mind turned to fishing. Couldn't recall when last I'd fished a spinnerbait so with the conditions being ideal I went for a throw.
For good spinnerbaiting you need some wind on the water and sunlight. Sunlight for reflection off the blades and a surface ripple/chop to break up the light and make the lure seem more natural.
There were less fish about than I expected and ended up landing 4 bass of around a kilo. The best fish I hooked seemed to be a small fish until it jumped and threw the spinnerbait. A fish of around 2kg's.
The fish were strong, in good condition and they really hit a spinnerbait hard which makes it all the more exciting.

First bass of the afternoon on 3/8oz Terminator Golden Shiner spinnerbait

You wouldn't normally expect to catch bluegill spinnerbaiting but I suppose big bluegill have big appetites.
Certainly the first one I've caught on a spinnerbait.
